Gordon Michael Counselling provides confidential, professional counselling services to individuals across Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and the Tri-county area. Offering a safe and supportive space, therapy is tailored to help you explore challenges, develop resilience, and work towards positive change.

Just you, me, and a safe space to explore the pressures of life and work.

Welcome to Gordon Michael Counselling—a safe, confidential space where you can pause, reflect, and gain clarity. Using an integrative approach I tailor therapy to your individual needs, whether you're experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, or navigating life’s bigger questions. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be holding you back, helping you develop greater self-awareness and understanding.

My aim is to provide a supportive, non-judgemental therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely heard and understood. Through our work together, you can build resilience, strengthen emotional awareness, develop practical coping strategies, and reconnect with your own strengths and resources. Whether you're seeking support for a specific challenge or looking for deeper personal growth, therapy can help you move forward with greater confidence, balance, and wellbeing.

About me

Before training as a therapist in 2018, I spent more than 10 years working within the NHS and related services, specialising in mental health, addiction, and trauma. My background also includes outreach work supporting people experiencing homelessness and substance misuse, giving me a broad understanding of the challenges individuals can face and the resilience they can develop.

Alongside my private practice, I continue to work within NHS primary care mental health services. Over the years, I have supported clients with a wide range of concerns, including trauma, stress, burnout, low self-confidence, self-esteem difficulties, anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship challenges, and work-life balance issues. My experience allows me to offer a compassionate, practical, and tailored approach to therapy that meets each client’s unique needs.
